Work continues on the installation of lifting systems on the fragrant pagoda. The new cable car, which is due to be commissioned by February 2004, will make it much easier to visit this landmark. If before climbing to the pagoda took an hour (on foot along a steep road), now the tourist will need only 5 minutes. The new funicular is able to raise from 1000 to 1500 passengers per hour, which will significantly increase the flow of tourists to the pagoda.

Tuahyong (Aromatic Pagoda) is one of the oldest Buddhist sanctuaries in Vietnam. For three months, the fragrant pagoda, located about 60 kilometers southwest of Hanoi, like a sacred Mecca for Muslims, becomes the center of Buddhist pilgrimage from all corners of Vietnam. Having visited it at the beginning of the Lunar year, you should raise in this sacred place prayers to the Heavenly Emperor for yourself and your relatives – both alive and already dead. It is believed that in this case a person can protect his family from evil spirits and enlist the support of the good forces in all undertakings for a whole year.

The pagoda was founded in the XV century. Today it is not just a temple, but a whole complex of mountain and cave sanctuaries and tombs, considered one of the main historical monuments of Vietnam. In addition to the pilgrims, the pagoda accepts thousands of tourists arriving in Hanoi. The funicular construction project is funded by Huong Pagoda Tourism Service Company. This is reported sob. corr.

Russia still associates with foreigners with historical and Orthodox sights, as well as with a traditional set of souvenirs – vodka, caviar and nested dolls. This is evidenced by the results of a study commissioned by Rosturizm.

As reported by RATA-News, the study was conducted from mid-March to early April this year. Foreigners from 36 countries (with the exception of the CIS countries) who spoke English and were interviewed in Russia for more than a day were interviewed. The survey was conducted in five hotels in Moscow and eight hotels in St. Petersburg. The average age of tourists who took part in the survey does not exceed 42 years. At the same time, 42.2% of respondents came to Russia as tourists, the rest – on business.

It turned out that foreigners have practically no idea about the possibilities of sanatorium-resort rest or balneological treatment in our country. They do not even know about active rest, although in the minds of foreign guests the image of Russia is associated with such powerful natural-geographical brands as the Volga, Siberia, the Urals and Lake Baikal.

The survey also showed Avianca Brazil joined the Star Alliance 66.3% of guests changed their minds about Russia, having made a trip here, 90.5% of them – for the better. 88.4% of tourists will advise their friends and colleagues to go to Russia, while 11.6% will not recommend it. Interestingly, only 2.6% of respondents named our country as unfriendly, 28.4% disagreed with such a statement, and 35% – "rather do not agree." Almost 40% of respondents do not consider Russia a country that is inconvenient for travel. Another 39.9% are also inclined to this opinion.

At the same time, more than 37% of foreign tourists agree that there are too high prices for poor-quality services in Russia (30.4% did not decide on the answer, 17.8% "rather disagree"). There are still a lot of those who believe that "Russia is a country that has nothing to look at, except Moscow and St. Petersburg."

When preparing a trip to Russia, 21.9% of travelers turn to reviews on the Internet. Opinions of relatives, friends and colleagues are listened to by 20.8% of respondents. In third place – prospectuses and guidebooks (19.2%). For 14% of potential tourists, Russian sites that provide information in their language are of interest. Then follows the experience of previous trips (10.9%), advertising on television and radio (7.8%), and closes the rating of advertising in print (5.5%).

The Czech Republic, like neighboring Germany, is famous for its beer. The Czechs say that in production and consumption of this low-alcohol drink they are the first in Eastern Europe. Indeed, in every Czech city, if not in every village, they produce excellent beer.

In Bohemia, the most beer area, beer appeared, according to written sources, in the 11th century. In Russia, no more than three or four types of Czech beer are known, and meanwhile, only known varieties in the Czech Republic are about 20. Special taste is given to local beer by water, mostly "soft", carbonate, with a low salt content.

In Europe, the most famous Czech beer is the Plzensky Festival, which has been brewed for centuries in the city of Pilsen, 100 km south-west of Prague. Connoisseurs adore this sort, more bitter and stronger, in comparison with others. Recently, "Plzner" (so shortly called this beer) began to make at the breweries of Germany and Belgium, but the Czechs do not like it, considering it unreal. It is because of the water, which in other countries is somewhat different than in the Czech Republic. Still local people like Gambrinus – light beer produced in Moravia. It is not as bitter as Plzeское. It is this type of beer that Marek Kruta, the head of the Moscow representative office of the Czech tourist company Destination, recommends to his clients and friends. And he, visiting his homeland, necessarily drinks a lot of mugs of Radogast beer, which is brewed in Ostrava (northern Moravia).

In general, according to Mr. Kruta, the most popular among the majority of Czechs beer brands are united by a common term – "ten", strictly speaking, denoting the density of beer. This is one of the three criteria for assessing the quality of the drink, taken in the world. The margin of density, which is understandable only to brewers, ranges from 9 to 14. The most common in the world is 12 percent beer, which is characterized by a more bitter taste. It is believed that in winter it is more useful to drink more dense beer, and in summer – on the contrary, less dense.

The second criterion, according to which experts judge beer, is color. Most Czechs, according to statistics, like light beer. Dark beer, considered more sweet, is preferred by women. Confirms the statistics of the example of Miroslav Ronchak, who heads the Moscow office of the National Tourist Board of the Czech Republic. He loves the light beer Litovel, which is brewed near the city of Olomouc, again in Moravia. In terms of density, it just falls into the "top ten".

The fortress is the third criterion according to which this or that beer is evaluated in the Czech Republic and around the world. The density on the bottle or bank indicates the alcohol content. In general, Czech beer contains 4-4.5% alcohol. Very rarely, this figure reaches 5%. But there are also very weak, destined for women, a fortress of no more than 3%.

In order to get acquainted immediately with many varieties of Czech beer, you should go to a special beer tour. Such proposals for $ 650 (along with the flight and visa) have recently appeared on the Russian market. Usually beer tours are offered in the autumn, when beer is well "ripened" in huge wooden barrels. Begins a tour in Prague, famous for its many famous beer houses, as well as its own breweries. Here, tourists always go to the beer restaurant "U Flake", which recently celebrated its 500th anniversary. A proud inscription in the restaurant at the brewery adorns one of the walls: "Here they were brewing beer before Columbus discovered America." Every year, "Fluke" is visited by about 500 thousand people.beer lovers to try the local black beer of low fermentation Fleckovski dark lounger.

During the tour of Prague, tourism lovers also visit the "Novomestsky Brewery", where they can see with their own eyes the process of production of this drink. It is recommended to look into the brewery "At Tomash", located in an ancient monastery. They say that in the 18th century an artist who painted the walls of the brewery took only a quarter of his salary for his work, preferring to drink beer for the remaining three quarters.

After Prague, tourists go to Plzen, the beer capital of the Czech Republic, the birthplace of Horzroy. On the way, they stop by the town of Kruszowice, where they also taste local beer. Here in the middle of the last century the Pilsner beer brand was registered, and a little later – Pillsner Urquel. On the territory of the factory, which produces this world-famous beer, in a huge beer can simultaneously accommodate up to 600 people. The Beer Museum is also curious, located just five minutes walk from the factory.

Beer lovers in the Czech Republic are recommended to drive through the beer triangle: Ceske Budejovice-Przobon-Protivin. In the first city, the world famous Budvar is made, in the second – Regent, which the local factory produces since the XIV century.By the way, opposite the brewery are ponds in which carp are bred. At Christmas, Prehbonski carp, stewed in beer with honey, is one of the most popular dishes in the Czech Republic. Several good types of beer of different strength are also brewed at the brewery "Lobkovich", near the town of Sedlchani in Central Bohemia. A well-known brand of Zatek beer is produced in the castle of the town of the same name in western Bohemia.

Excursions for tourists with tasting for only $ 2-4 are offered by the breweries Nova Paka and Cluster, also located in an old castle. Beer here is cooked in old cellars, mounted directly in the rock. To the beer, tourists are sure to be offered dishes of national Czech cuisine, many of which are prepared with beer. One of them, beer soup, described in the manuscript of the XVII century, it is easy to cook at home. To do this, you need half a liter of light beer, half a liter of beef broth, one glass of sour cream, one spoon of butter, bread and four yolks. All this must be carefully mixed and consumed "with relish."
